CRES is the national coordination centre of Greece on renewable energy and energy saving technologies and the official Greek government consultant in national energy policy, strategy and planning. In addition, CRES carries out applied research and works as promoter, organizer and advisor on all aspects of planning and implementation of renewable energies. The Geothermal Energy Department focuses on research and development of all aspects of geothermal energy, including exploration and exploitation of low enthalpy, high enthalpy and EGS resources.
